frequently asked questions:
Do I need to obtain a referral from my physician or have diagnostic imaging (x-ray / MRI) performed prior to my evaluation?
No. You may save your time and healthcare dollars by skipping those steps. In the state of Massachusetts, you have unrestricted direct access to physical therapy meaning you do not need a prescription or referral (although many insurances require one in traditional settings). Haley is licensed to diagnose and treat problems of the human movement system. She will refer you to a physician for further evaluation or imaging if necessary.
Will I be treated by physical therapy aides or spend part of my session on ice, heat, or electrical stimulation?
No. You will be receiving skilled PT services throughout your session and will be treated one-on-one with a licensed provider.
Do you take insurance?
No, insurance is not accepted. However, if you have out-of-network physical therapy benefits, you may request reimbursement for your visit from your insurance company after the session.
How do I pay for my session?
Cash, check, Venmo, and credit cards are accepted methods of payment.
If I am not a member of Achieve, can I come for physical therapy services?
Yes! Non-members are welcome.
